Last Day at Cricut

Today is a bitter-sweet day for me. While I am excited about my new job on the American Crafts art team, I am going to have a hard time saying goodbye to Cricut. I was honored when Provo Craft asked me to join their art team two years ago. During that time I have grown immensely as an illustrator, stretched myself artistically and added so many great products to my portfolio. I am just as honored now to be joining the amazing designers at American Crafts. I can't wait to learn from each of them and see all that goes into creating their amazing paper and embellishment lines.

I want to say "thanks" to all of my Provo Craft coworkers. It has been a pleasure working alongside each of you. Your ideas have been inspiring, your feedback has been invaluable and your friendship has been greatly appreicated. Please keep in touch.

I also want to thank all of you that read my blog. I love how passionate you are about your Cricut machines and crafting! Your projects continue to blow me away, and I am thrilled to see how many of you are creating projects with my Cricut and Cuttlebug artwork. I look forward to seeing what you do with the future products I have the opportunity to work on.

You will be missed! Your cartridges are some of my very favorites! I have loved seeing the cartridges from your perspective!

I have appreciated that you put a face to the illustration department! That really made it fun. Sometimes I bought a cart just because I knew it was yours! (I wish the other illustrators would have blogs-- PC should encourage it!)

Best wishes with American Crafts! They are so fortunate to be getting your talent.

BTW of your cartridges, I own Greeting Cards Inside and Out, Heirloom, Over the Hill, Art Nouveau, Summer Celebrations, Autumn Celebrations, Sugar & Spice, Father's Day, Campin Critters and Teddy Bear Parade and I'm trying to win Word Collage on Ebay. You definitely have a knack for knowing what us Cricuteers like on our cartridges!

Curt - while I'm saddened to loose you making Cricut cartridges, I wish you the very best at American Crafts. I am sure you will bring some great works of art to them. I love your cartridges and rank them as some of my favorites. I agree w/ a few I've bought a cartridge simply because I knew it was your work. Best wishes and hope you update your blog w/ your new adventures.
