3D Ornaments

December is finally here! What better way to ring in the Christmas season than with my latest release: 3D Ornaments.  I created these ornaments for the world launch of the Cricut Mini on HSN. This set of digital images was included in the Cricut Mini Bundle, and is exclusive to HSN shoppers.

For this set, I created 6 different ornaments: 2 stars, 2 balls, and 2 honeycomb ornaments.

It was so much fun to watch the HSN launch because they had a Christmas tree that was decked with these ornaments. Here is a close-up of one of the stars.

Here are a set of honeycomb ornaments created by Jana Eubank for the Cricut blog. These ornaments are really versatile because they can be assembled like this, or they can be glued together like the old school honeycomb decorations. I created a set of instructions on how to "honeycomb" these ornaments and they are available in the 3D Ornaments digital handbook. And my favorite part of these ornaments  is their little cap. It just gives them the finishing touch. The cap has 2 holes in the top so you can loop your ribbon through for hanging.

Here are some of the ball ornaments that I created with my 4 year old daughter.  They are currently hanging from the chandelier in our kitchen, and my daughter loves showing them off to everyone that visits.

Each of these ornaments feature a decorative drop-out design on them. To get my daughter involved, I let her use the drop-outs as a stencil. She had a blast coloring them! And for a little touch of glitz, she added glitter glue to each of the pieces she colored.

And just as a reminder, entries for this month's cartridge challenge are due on the 16th. I will respond to each of your emails to let you know that I received your entry. I can't wait to see all of your Christmas creations.

I love these ornaments, I think they are so cute. I also love that they are hanging on our chandelier and that Our Little Miss is so proud of her project she made with daddy!

I thought the entries were due by the 16th nor the 9th. Confused.

Wow, love the ornaments, Curt, and especially those hanging from your chandelier. How festive. Your daughter is so adorable. TFS your holiday photos. So sweet! I love Christmas! Thank goodness you gave us plenty of time to enter your challenge. I want to do it, but you know it's such a busy time of year.--Pat N.

Oh so pretty! I was thinking about getting the mini, because cricut.com has free shipping on it and it comes with this cart. But I have to stop spending money on cricut things till the new year. :(

OH my goodness I was just looking for good instructions on how to make these. I bought the MINI for the purpose of getting these ornaments. I LOVE LOVE them. I will admit -- at 1st I got a little frustrated with the simple round balls. I figured out what I was doing wrong and fixed it, but I do love these. Thanks for a great cartridge.
